About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Account Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of reinsurance transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure secure, efficient, and auditable handling of client funds through daily cash analysis and reconciliation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all payment-related matters within your client portfolio
Maintain accurate reinsurance ledgers and manage the timely collection/payment of funds to/from clients, reinsurers, and third parties
Perform regular account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly
Analyse MI to identify debtor issues and drive resolution through negotiation and influence
Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements, including sanctions
Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and insights
Contribute to process mapping and operating model design in collaboration with Technology teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Resolve issues arising from reinsurance account processing
Key Skills & Experience
The client is seeking someone with previous experience in a similar role within reinsurance. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
