About the Role
We are working with a Lloyd’s Broker who has an exciting opportunity within their International Casualty Division.
As an Account Handler, you will work across both open market and binding authority business, supporting brokers, servicing client accounts, handling MRC slips, and resolving account queries.
The role sits within a forward-thinking team with excellent growth plans, offering the chance to get involved from day one. The overall objective is to support the delivery of an efficient, high-quality end-to-end operational service to both Clients and Brokers/Account Executives.
Key Responsibilities
Support the effective delivery of all Broker Support activities.
Assist in the preparation of key placement documentation.
Manage and oversee premium processing, resolving queries with processing technicians.
Train and support third-party service providers and ensure strong collaboration.
Maintain accurate and compliant placement records using GXB.
Use relevant market and internal systems to support the placement process.
Support internal file audits, working closely with the File Review and Internal Audit teams.
Take ownership of key contractual dates, including payment warranties, subjectivities, and NOCs.
Work with Clients and Brokers to address cash and credit control issues, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
Ensure full adherence to all compliance requirements.
Maintain awareness of end-to-end processes across IBA, Premium Processing, Claims, and middle office functions.
Key Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have London Market experience, ideally with technical knowledge of International General Liability. They must be confident working with MRC slips, open market placements, and binding authorities, and have experience using London Market systems and processes. Strong communication, organisation, and the ability to work under pressure are essential, along with a proactive approach, willingness to learn, and readiness to adapt to new processes and change.
