About the Role

An expanding Lloyd’s Broker, is looking to hire a Binding Authority Technician to join their team. It will initially be on a 18 month fixed term contract, which could become permanent.

You will report to the Binding Authority manager, who is highly skilled and personable and has worked in the business for several years, possessing comprehensive knowledge of the Binding Authority market and is keen to pass on their outstanding knowledge.

This opportunity will suit someone who has experience in Binders business and is keen upskill and greatly improve their market knowledge.

The business can consider someone on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle UK & European business across Binding Authority accounts

  • Experience of Binding Authority contracts/processes

  • Processing binding authorities / lineslips agreements

  • Knowledge of BA systems including DDM, DCOM would be useful but not essential

  • Knowledge of processing entries for multiple territories (US, Canada and Intl)

  • Bordereaux analysis (Written and Paid)

  • Xchanging submissions/query resolution

  • Oversee ongoing due diligence of coverholders

  • Profit Commission calculations

  • Willingness to upskill and progress

Key Skills & Experience

The individual will be confident in binding authority technical processing, including bordereaux management, standard Lloyd’s reporting, and coverholder compliance and attestation. Experience working with Lloyd’s systems such as DCOM, Atlas, Crystal, IMR and related platforms is desirable.

Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills are essential, alongside excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage changing priorities, and a proactive, collaborative approach with a willingness to learn and develop where needed.
