About the Role

We are recruiting for a global broker seeking a Claims Advocate to handle U.S. Casualty business.

You will be responsible for the management and control of complex Casualty claims with a focus on US business

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and control of complex Casualty claims

  • On receipt of claim notification, identify risk, review details in conjunction with coverage/wordings

  • Prepare claims file and records accurately and promptly 

  • Producing claims information and presenting to reinsurers, dealing with any resultant instructions, queries and enquiries

  • Monitoring insurers’ agreement and payment of funds

  • Identifying any potential errors and omissions

  • Reporting any claim difficulties immediately to management

  • Ensuring relevant insurer’s instructions are notified to the Client and/or Expert

  • Ensuring effective liaison and building relationships with Clients, Experts, Insurers and Colleagues

  • Maintaining claims filing

  • Keeping up to date with market and system changes

Key Skills & Experience

The client is seeking someone with experience in handling Casualty Claims from first advice to settlement. You should be experienced in processing Reinstatement Premiums and have a good working knowledge of ECF/CLASS and Global XB.

You should have excellent numeracy skills, be a strong communicator at all levels and be able to work effectively as part of a team. The role requires the candidate to have a good working knowledge of the Underwriters and markets, and their practices, documentation and customs, along with good working knowledge of reinsurance classes worldwide and other relevant insurance and regulatory procedures.
