About the Role

A Lloyd’s Broker is going through huge growth and is looking for a Claims/Premium Technician to join their International Risks Team which focuses on Non-Marine business.

This key role supports one of their fastest-growing production units, which places a diverse book of business across multiple International territories. You will be dealing with all aspects of the Premium accounting and Claims process from receipt through to settlement as directed by your Head of Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain premium accounting and claims files

  • Input final agreed slips and document details onto the in-house system

  • Assess, process and monitor premium and claims

  • Produce and send out advice, collection, premium and treaty documentation to clients and markets

  • Broke claim advices and collections to the London Market where appropriate

  • Obtain agreement to claims advices and collections via CLASS/ECF system

  • Create and send premium submissions to the market via the IMR

  • Liaise with the Insurance Accounts Department to ensure prompt payment of premiums and claims

  • Assist the Insurance Accounts Department to ensure cash is posted and allocated promptly

  • Collect funds from clients and settle with reinsurers within Terms of Trade / Payment Warranties

  • Produce accurate premium and claims statistics where required

  • Conduct business meetings with clients and reinsurers

  • Deal with market, client and internal queries

Key Skills & Experience

The client is seeking someone who is an excellent communicator who is adaptable, diligent, and seeking to enhance their career. You should possess knowledge of the technical claims processing and using ECF and any premium experience would be highly advantageous.

You should be able to effectively contribute to the team and interact with others with an ability to use your own initiative. You should have a professional attitude to work.
