About the Role
A global Lloyd’s Broker with an excellent market reputation have an opening for a Claims Advocate handling FinPro business on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Our client is seeking someone who has experience in handling claims from cradle to grave, including claims negotiation, has technical expertise and ability to build relationships with high-value external clients, Adjusters/Underwriters, and the ability to provide oversight and support relating to FinPro claims.
You will be joining a highly efficient small team that works closely with brokers and clients in a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse portfolio of Professional, Financial and Cyber claims from notification through to settlement.
Assess coverage, review claim details and maintain accurate records across internal systems.
Prepare clear claims updates and documentation for insurers and clients, responding to queries as required.
Monitor insurer agreement and oversee timely settlement of claims payments.
Act as a central point of coordination between clients, insurers, experts and internal teams.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships through proactive and responsive communication.
Collaborate closely with broking and accounting teams, including the production of claims data for renewals and reporting.
Escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately and support effective workload management.
Stay informed on market developments, systems and processes, and participate in meetings as required
Key Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have experience handling Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions or D&O claims, with typically three to five years’ experience gained within a similar role. You will be confident using ECF and comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, supported by strong numeracy and communication skills. The role requires someone who works well within a team, remains effective under pressure and is able to manage competing deadlines. A proactive and ambitious approach is essential, with a genuine desire to develop technical knowledge and progress professionally.
