About the Role

Our client is seeking a candidate with DA experience primarily for the development, maintenance, and oversight of the firm’s Delegated Authority (DA) business to support strategic growth, ensure profitability, and maintain compliance with regulatory and market standards. You will be reporting to the Delegated Authority Manager. This role provides firm-wide governance of all DA activity across broking teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the DA Manager in the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the firm's DA Governance Control Framework.

  • Conduct detailed pre-placement and post-placement reviews of Market Reform Contracts (MRCs) to ensure alignment with the authorised business plan and adherence to governance standards.

  • Maintain the central register of all DA agreements, Line Slips, and associated facilities, ensuring accuracy and completeness for audit and reporting purposes.

  • Monitor market developments and regulatory changes to ensure the firm's DA operations remain compliant and effective.

  • Manage the end-to-end process for the approval of new Coverholders, Line Slips, renewals, and mid-term amendments, coordinating with broking teams, compliance, and management.

  • Ensure all pre- and post-bind operational practices for DA business are completed in accordance with the established control framework.

Key Skills & Experience

The client is seeking someone who has proven experience working in a Delegated Authority role (such as DA Assistant, Technician or Specialist), gained within either a broking or underwriting environment with a a solid technical understanding of the structure and mechanics of Delegated Authority contracts and line slips.

You should be highly proficient in Lloyd’s systems including Atlas, DCOM, DAM and Lineage, with a strong understanding of industry practices and regulatory requirements as well as demonstrate sound knowledge of FCA principles, Lloyd’s Bylaws, Minimum Standards and IUA procedures with an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
