About the Role

We are recruiting for a first-class Lloyd’s Broker seeking a Deputy Operations Manager.

You will be responsible for a team of 10, focusing on reinsurance and binders’ business. You’ll drive process excellence, power key client delivery, and lead operational performance across critical workflows. You'll combine technical expertise with leadership responsibility, making a real impact across our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead contract setup, bordereaux processing, binder maintenance, and Quota Share configurations in line with binder terms

  • Deliver seamless, accurate data uploads and manage premium flows across systems, always within SLA targets

  • Take ownership of quarterly accounting activities linked to Quota Share agreements

  • Act as the primary operations point of contact for a major client, managing updates, resolving challenges, and driving service excellence

  • Build strong, trusted relationships through clear, proactive communication

  • Design, run, and evolve operational reporting — from written vs. paid statistics to ledger performance and SLA dashboards

  • Analyse performance trends and propose data-driven improvements to senior leadership

  • Grow your oversight to include IBA and Claims workflows, broadening your leadership footprint

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and deliver outstanding end-to-end client service

  • Contribute to operational strategy and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills & Experience

The client is looking for someone with a strong background in insurance operations, broking systems, and bordereaux/binder management. You should possess the ability to lead processes, people, and client relationships with authority and empathy and have technical skills in reporting, data analysis, and operational system usage along with a proactive, detail-obsessed, solutions-driven, and client-focused mindset.
