About the Role
We are working with a highly respected Lloyd’s Broker that is looking to hire an IBA Technician to join its established IBA team. This is a permanent opportunity offering a predominantly home-based working pattern, with occasional visits to the London and/or Essex office.
You will work alongside an experienced team, supporting the timely and accurate collection, processing, and settlement of accounts with all trading partners. The business offers a strong infrastructure, excellent market reputation, and full support for further studies and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of statements
Allocation of cash
Handling external queries
Processing and making payments
Credit control activities
Reconciliation of externally generated accounts
Review of debts for funding cases
Review of legacy and aged items
Monitoring and clearance of non-collectable items
Reconciliation of internal hold accounts
Review of non-payable transactions
Maintenance of departmental electronic files (including Global XB and other systems)
Key Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have previous experience within an IBA or insurance accounts role, with a strong understanding of settlements, cash allocation, and reconciliation processes. You will be confident managing queries and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads effectively are essential, and experience using insurance systems such as Global XB would be advantageous, although not essential.
