About the Role

A dynamic global Lloyd’s Broker has an opportunity for someone to join their team as an IBA Technician on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The IBA Technician is responsible for providing an efficient and effective Fiduciary Accounting service to the business whilst adhering to Regulatory, Risk and Compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post and allocate client premium receipts and underwriter claims receipts to the correct ledger accounts on Sequel Eclipse Broking daily

  • Process Non-Bureau underwriter payments on Sequel Eclipse Broking daily and issue remittance advice

  • Release De-linked signings following client settlement or request cash submission as applicable

  • Advise Business Units of cash received daily

  • Liaise with clients, underwriters, Business Units and Operations to resolve issues with ledger accounts and escalate to manager / Fiduciary Analysis team as appropriate

  • Provide all relevant client and market documentation (e.g. Underwriter Remittance Advices, Premium Closings). Monitor ledger accounts to ensure payment warranties, unallocated cash, unforwarded balances, funding, payable credits, aged debt and doubtful brokerage are managed appropriately

  • Responsible for the resolution/escalation of financial issues with clients, underwriters, Business Units and Operations

  • Provide all relevant client and market documentation (e.g. Client Statements, Underwriter Statements, Premium Closings, Debit / Credit Notes)

  • Conduct regular meetings with relevant Business Units to discuss the current position on payment warranties, unallocated cash, funding, payable credits, aged debt and doubtful brokerage

  • Manage currency sales where required


Reporting

  • Produce accurate and regular MI on the ageing of unallocated cash, funding, payable credits, aged debt, doubtful brokerage and other key KPI’s required by the Business Units, Client Money or Credit Control Committees

Key Skills & Experience

Our client is looking for someone with three years’ minimum experience undertaking Fiduciary Accounting who has knowledge of Sequel Eclipse Broking, the ability to multi task and meet deadlines with good technical and industry knowledge.
