About the Role

A dynamic global Lloyd’s Broker has an opportunity for someone to join their team as a Marine Technician. This is a key role with the opportunity to support worldwide clients, on all classes of Marine Hull business.

Key Responsibilities

This role will form part of our long-established Marine team, which provides market leading Hull & Machinery, Protection and Indemnity, Charterers Liability and Cargo solutions.


This is a varied role with the opportunity to learn from an experienced team, as well as interact with internal and external stakeholders. 


You can expect to be involved in:

  • Preparation of market endorsements and documents, for clients and their agents

  • Processing premiums and preparing debit and credit notes

  • Working with internal and external business partners as well as worldwide clients across all classes of Marine Hull business

  • Maintaining statistical information and producing reports

  • Reporting at team meetings

You will also be expected to adhere to company and regulatory policies and procedures, fulfilling mandatory training requirements and adhering to financial reporting requirements including monthly phasing of income.

Key Skills & Experience

The client is seeking someone who has prior experience within marine insurance. They should have excellent attention to detail and ability to plan meticulously. They should posses excellent persuasive and influencing skills along with the ability to be client facing and customer focused with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, effectively contributing to the team and interacting with others.

The candidate should have excellent IT and organisational skills with the ability to perform effectively to tight deadlines with good time management skills whilst being proactive in anticipating problems in advance and making contingencies to deliver a better more efficient service.
