About the Role

Our client a global Lloyd's Broker is seeking a North American Property Account Handler.

The role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract but could potentially become a perm role during the 12 months.

Our client is seeking someone with experience in MRC and the ability to work with contracts and market documentation to support placing brokers. Knowledge of the pre-placement process is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing Open Market MRC’s, MRC Endorsements, Declarations off of In-House Binders, certificates and endorsements, Lineslips

  • Preparing and typing of letters / emails and other correspondence

  • Maintaining online filing and archiving systems

  • Entering Data onto the Global system

  • Obtaining Bureau Signings as applicable

  • Arranging extension to terms of trade

  • Calculating Profit Commissions & E2I’s

  • Dealing with queries from Brokers and clients and escalating issues as appropriate to ensure timely and efficient problem resolution

  • Providing regular feedback to Technical Team Leader regarding ongoing work

Key Skills & Experience

The client is seeking someone with experience within Property or other Non Marine lines of business would be useful, experience in US or International territories desirable along with experience in providing support to placing brokers. You should have the ability to produce Market Reform Contracts and Endorsements and maintain awareness of changing requirements.

You should be confident and proactive in communication with Clients, Underwriters and senior colleagues with a knowledge of clauses and be able to manage workflow.

The workload is heavy at times, so they are seeking someone with a can-do attitude, personable and a good team player.
