About the Role

A long-established Lloyd’s broker is looking for an Open Market Processing Technician within their North American business. The team supports the Open Market Brokers, mainly North American business. The team consists of 2 Senior Technicians and the Insurance Technician who are managed by a Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing firm orders for Brokers - Open Market MRC’s, MRC Endorsements, Declarations off of In-House Binders, certificates and endorsements, Lineslips, occasionally policies and any other Insurance Broker documentation as required.

  • Drafting of wordings / policy forms for North American property coverages for inclusion in MRC’s as required.

  • Obtaining underwriter agreement to wordings occasionally required.

  • Entering Data onto the Global system.

  • Processing Premiums.

  • Mailing out of Contract of Insurances, Certificates, Debit Notes, Withholding Statements, the occasional policy.

  • Signing of premium to Xchanging.

  • Providing regular feedback to Team Leader on portfolio and market feedback.

  • Obtaining key information from Agents and/or brokers verbally or via telephone, e-mail and/or fax

  • Analysing market trends and developments affecting the team, division and Group

  • Timely and efficient resolution of complex issues escalating issues to Team Leader/Technical Manager as appropriate

  • Ensuring compliance with FCA Guidelines and Group rules and procedures, including maintaining accurate records

Key Skills & Experience

Our client is seeking someone who has several years’ experience which includes North American Property within a Lloyd’s Broker. Experience of the Global system would be a distinct advantage however full training will be given to the successful candidate. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, be analytical with problem solving skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
