Key Responsibilities
Handling of complex US Property claims
Identify Risk
Review coverage and wordings, prepare claims files
Keep computerised files up to date
Build relationships with Clients, experts and insurers
Identifying potential contentious/difficult claims matters
Producing claims information and presenting to (re)insurers
Monitoring insurers’ agreement and payment of funds
Identifying any potential errors and omissions if situations arise
Ensuring relevant (re)insurer’s instructions are notified to the Client/expert
Ensuring effective liaison with the placing team and accounting colleagues
Monitoring workload and reporting to management as appropriate
Key Skills & Experience
The client is seeking someone that has solid understanding of the claims process, can deal with claims from first advice to settlement, has experience of ECF and other internal systems. Face to face broking of claims files (when permitted), ability to provide all round knowledge of the claims function across us Property.
